Bring Water
Many are struck by what seems like a very sudden and unexpected change of tone and subject in the next few verses of Hebrews. The writer does move quickly from rather comforting encouragement to a quite stern warning. But, this is not the first warning and I think it follows quite well from the admonition not to stop meeting together "as is the habit of some". What could happen to those who fall away? The answer is frightening and serious and needs to be. We'll take a closer.
