Pretty much everything getting back to normal this week and we are returning after our holiday hiatus to 1 Samuel. Picking up where we left off, Saul, the anointed king, acts as the last of the judges in the chapter before us. There is evil oppression, an appeal for help, and the Holy Spirit empowers a man to lead God's people to victory over the oppressive evil. We will talk about the temptation to surrender, the effects of compromise, as well as the beauty and availability of salvation from the Lord. Saul was the agent, but once again God saved his people.
